wize_0n3 asked: I like to play poker, live as well as online, and consider myself to be an okay player.
I manage to accumulate a large amount of chips quite quickly > 50K, however, I always seem to blow all my winnings the next time I play and have to start from scratch again.
I just wanted to know whether anyone else has had this problem and knows of a solution and/or whether this is a common problem.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Don’t get stupid when you have a bunch of chips in front of you. I used to have that problem as well then I just told myself to slow down and rethink your next move. Don’t play hands you wouldn’t normally just because you have a bunch of chips.
If you are constantly losing all your chips, you aren’t an OK player.
How about going to a table with 2000 chips when you have 50K, then you can’t lose them all.
This is a common problem for players who play online. When you first start playing in a session, you may be playing at your “A Level”. As time goes on, it is very easy to succumb to fatigue and start playing at a poor level.
I suggest learning how to identify when your game has degraded to a level that is not profitable. The other thing to look out for when playing poker online or anywhere is table selection. Make sure the table you are playing at is a table that you can adapt to and then crush it.
